70 percent of every sale, paid as it sells
The industry standard is 25 to 30 percent, and that is not our number, it is the one the American Institute of Building Design publishes to its own members. We can pay more because of how the site earns: it keeps 30 percent of each plan sale and 10 percent of change quotes, and designers keep the rest. Builders and other pros list free. A builder pays only when a buyer accepts their introduction, never for the listing. Your share, after card fees, goes to your own Stripe account as each sale is delivered.
No exclusivity, ever
Keep selling the same plans anywhere you already do. We will never ask you to pull a plan from another site, and we will never ask for a territory. You can be based anywhere: your plans sell to buyers anywhere, and there is no service area to set.
List with what you already have
Your own renderings, elevations and marketing floor plans go straight onto the plan page. If you do not have renderings, we can produce them for you for a fee we quote up front, and you keep the usage rights for your own site and marketing.
Your name and your link on every plan page
Firm name, city, credentials, bio and an outbound link to your own site. Not a letter code. You keep the copyright, which is standard, but you also keep the credit, which is not.
We fund first line enforcement
If somebody builds your plan without a license, we find it and we send the letter. No other marketplace in this category offers that, and enforcement is left entirely to the designer everywhere else.
You price it, and you quote the changes
You set the price of each license, and change it whenever you like. When a buyer wants a plan flipped or a bay added, they message you here, you quote it, and you keep 90 percent of the changes. Our agreement is published rather than hidden behind a phone call, which is also not standard in this category.
Your own alterations menu, at your prices
Common alterations (reverse the plan, 2x6 walls, a different foundation, another garage bay and more), each off until you turn it on and set your price and how many business days you need, plus items of your own. Buyers pick them with the plan in one payment. The plan goes out at once; you deliver the revised set from the job's thread and keep 90 percent of the alterations. We never set, suggest or discount your prices.
Due dates you set, and a fair late rule
Every paid alteration or quoted change is due the turnaround you set after payment, in business days, shown to you and the buyer with a countdown. You get a reminder halfway and a business day before. Need longer? Ask the buyer for a new date with a reason; if they accept, it is the new due date. If a job is more than 3 business days late, the buyer may cancel the late part for a refund of its price; they keep the plan, your plan share stands, and nothing is paid for that part. Pause new changes whenever you are busy; with 2 or more jobs overdue, new ones pause on their own until you catch up. Once you have finished 3, your pages show how many were on time.
See what a sale looks like
Walk through a purchase of a sample plan, step by step: the license the buyer picks, what they pay and what you would keep, the stamped file they download, the email they get, and what shows on your dashboard. Nothing is charged and nothing is sold.
See what a sale looks likeWhat we are looking for
- Five plans to start. If you already have finished sets, nothing new needs drawing.
- Foundation details that hold up on expansive soil, and wind load where it applies.
- Barndominiums especially. It is the one category in this industry where new catalogs are still being built rather than recycled.
Questions you are about to ask
- Who stamps it?
- The buyer does, same as every site in this industry. The difference is that our plan pages say so up front instead of burying it, including the Texas engineering requirement on expansive soil.
- Who handles modifications?
- You do, at the price you quote or the fixed price on your alterations menu, by the due date you set, and you keep 90 percent of it. We broker the request and get out of the way.
- How much traffic do you have?
- Not much yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. We are early. The first designers to sign get the higher rate locked for three years, which is the honest trade for taking the risk with us.
